               Which lube oil do I use?

This chart will help you choose the proper FS lubricant for the job. Check your owner's manual or call your  FS Energy Specialist if you have questions.

Diesel Engines

Suprex Gold

Ultra Premium diesel oil. Primary recommendation for diesel engines, most using 15W-40 viscosity grade.

API CD, CC, CE, CF-2, CG-4, SJ

Exceeds diesel engine manufacturers specifications.

Suprex

Premium diesel engine oil.

Same API specs as Suprex Gold.

SAE 40 is primary recommendation for DDC 2-stroke engines.

Gasoline Engines

Engine Guard

Primary recommendation for gasoline engines, most require 5W-30 or 10W-30 viscosity grade.

API SH, SJ   ILSAC GF-1, GF-2

Suprex Gold or Suprex

In some cases these diesel engine oils can be used in gasoline engines.

Hydraulic/ Trans.

Power Fluid

Primary recommendation for tractors with common sump for hyd. trans & wet brakes.

John Deere, Ford, Massey, Case/IH, AGCO, Versatile

FS ATF

Primary recommendation for automotive automatic transmissions.

GM, Dexron III, Ford Mercon, most Chrysler and imports.

HD Hydraulic

Primary recommendation for most hydraulic systems.  ISO 32 is most ommon viscosity grade. Contains anti-wear additives.

Suprex (SAE 10)

Primary recommendation for hydraulics in CAT equipment.   Often interchangeable with hydraulic grade 32.

Heavy Duty Driveline Fluid

Designed for CAT equipment requiring TO-4 specifications.

Gear Box

All Purpose Gear Oil

Primary recommendation for automotive gear boxes, or any other requiring API GL-5.

Most common viscosity grade is 80W-90, but 85W-140 is also available.

Synthetic Gear Oil

75W-90, GL-5 with synthetic base oil for low temperature, extended drain, or other special cases.

FS Synthetic 50

Designed for heavy duty manual transmissions requiring a mineral oil, non EP, engine lubricant.

Meets Eaton Roadranger requirements.

Mineral Gear Oil

Primary recommendation for Fuller and Rockwell transmissions on HD trucks that call for straight mineral oils. R&O gear oils, or API GL-1.

Suprex (SAE 50)

Can often be used as an alternative to SAE 90 GL-1 listed above.
